13 Days of Halloween

It has begun.  Yesterday began the 13 days of Halloween celebration.  What is the 13 days of Halloween celebration?  Well, I'll tell you.  Every night 13 days leading up to Halloween, we have a "spooky" dinner and watch a Halloween show.  For dinner last night, we had "Roast Beast and Mashed Snakes" and for dessert we had some "Snakes in Dirt and Mud."  It was very tasty.

After dinner, Matt made some "ants" (black pink popcorn) and we hocus pocuswatched Hocus Pocus.  The little ones got a little scared at the beginning, but everyone enjoyed it.  It was a great start to fun celebration.

Mmmm...Roast Beast. I think Jeremy was a little too on the ball. He looked at it all, then said, hey, the snakes are just mashed potatos and the witches brew is just punch. It's not real stuff, it's just pretend. Can't get anything past that one. :)It's the best way to celebrate the fall season and get into the spooky time of year.

When McKenzie was younger she would always tell us that she wanted to eat Roast Beast we could never figure out what she wanted until we watched the Grinch and cought on to what she was saying.

You should have seen Abby stuffing potatoes down Ammon's throat. She was lucky she didn't end up with barf all over her. :)

The fun has begun. I am really looking forward to Halloween this year. The dinners and movie add a big bunch to the spirit of the holiday. I am so glad I have kids around me again to share the fun.
