My Chrysalis

Arrested development is the state in which development has stopped prematurely. I can see aspects of arrested development in my life, however I also see points of evolving, my chrysalis. When I was a child my mom got us the original Nintendo along with some fun games, however, because of events in my young adult life, I never wanted video games in my house.

However, nothing stays the same, and though my chrysalis may include video games, demolition derby's, farming, scouting and a myriad of other changes, I know that some things will always remain firm and stable in my life, like this guy:

And because of that, I can handle the changes because he will always love me no matter what, and that will always stay the same.

Ears Pierced

Matt finally caved and agreed that when Bailee turned 8, she could get her ears pierced.  Once the Smith’s got wind, Logan called and offered to provide the earrings and do the actual piercing.  Bailee was SUPER excited.
 
She really LOVED it.  She is making a list of all the different kinds of earrings that she wants.

Jeremy’s Birthday

Since the kids didn’t have school on Martin Luther King Jr. day, everyone decided to come to Nephi and celebrate mom’s birthday and Jeremy’s birthday. 

It was a fun weekend!!

GeoBee

Yesterday was the fourth grade GeoBee and Jeremy finished in the top 5 in his grade.  Next week he will go on to compete against the 5th and 6th graders.  We are so proud!!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning the kids were so excited to see what Santa brought them.

Then we headed over to Mom’s.

Unfortunately I had to go to work, but it was a great holiday!!

Christmas Eve

This year, Christmas Eve was at our house.  We woke up to a snowstorm.  We had a turkey dinner.

Then we had a visit from Santa.

It was a great day!!
