Day 12 – Grandpa Bailey

My Grandpa Bailey died when I was relatively young, but when I think about Grandpa Bailey:
Grandpa
I always think about those summer nights when all the cousins would gather on my Grandparents porch and play night games. All the grown-ups would gather in the house except for my Grandpa. He would sit on the green chair and watch all of us play. Endless games, over the can, Cowboys and Indians, and even hide and seek. It was a blast and the best part was Grandpa would always tell me where everyone was hiding. It was great. He died when I was 12, but whenever I feel that warm summer night breeze I think of my Grandpa sitting on the porch laughing and smiling.

Abby always speaks with great kindness and warmth about her Grandpa Bailey. To hear the stories I have of Donald Bailey, he sounds like a man that I would have been privileged to know.

Grandpa had a great time watching the kids play. I am sure it made him feel very happy that you all were his.

I loved grandpa. He was the best. I loved the fact that he would watch play nights games, as well. Although they are limited since 9yrs old. It is hard to recollect sometimes.

I had a dream after my grandpa died that I got to see him and hug him and he told me he loved me. I loved my Grandpa.

I loved Grandpa Bailey. Jacob and I were the youngest kids to play night games. So we were it a lot. Grandpa always helped us out. He was the best. Even the tickling the ribs. 1 2 3 and a wee wee wee!
