My Motivation

For the most part.  My blog is pretty boring.  My motivation for my blog is to catalog my life and show my children and my family how much I love them and all the fun things we try to do.  Matt and I are raising good kids who know that we love them and are proud for what they do.
The best thing I LOVE about my kids is that they are kids.  They dress like kids, they play with kid toys (no bratz dolls), and they use their kid imaginations.
Even though my kids are a little on the younger side, they know that they have to work for the things they want.  Both of them have been working hard this past month to earn money to go to Disneyland.  They make their beds, clean their rooms, help with dishes.  Jeremy goes with Grandpa on the farm everyday, and Bailee helps Grandma keep her house clean.  I'm so proud of how hard they work.
My kids are fairly well behaved.  They know how to act when we are in a restaurant, and they mind us when we ask them to do something.  Sure they have their meltdowns, but for the most part they listen and genuinely try to be good.
They are both excited to learn new things.  Jeremy is reading constantly now.  He has even picked up on some spelling.  I spelled out to Matt that we needed to buy him some new S-H-O-E-S and Jeremy looked up and said, "Mom, I want to pick out my own shoes ok?"  Bailee loves "doing homework" alongside Jeremy.  Of course, Bailee's homework is just a blank sheet of paper that she writes her name on over and over.  Occasionally she will color something, but she loves to learn new things and is always asking questions.
Jeremy and Bailee both love to spend time together as a family, and they are constantly reminding us to say family prayers and are always asking what we are going to do for FHE.  I am grateful for my children and the people they are becoming.

They're sharp as whips as well. They watch us and ten try and do the things that we do as well. Gone are the days of just doing whatever in front of them because they won't do what we're doing. They are sweet and imaginative. I love your children. They're on of the main reasons I started blogging as well.

WOW, that is awesome. You are my role model. I love you guys. It gives me hope that Rachel, Kyle, and Megan can be that way to if I am diligent enough.

I'm still learning the whole discipline thing. I learned a lot from watching you two with Jeremy and Bailee. They really are very well behaved, good kids. Cute as ever. Thanks for your example.

It is so nice to know you are doing something right, especially being an example to others along with your children. They are growing up rather fast and things will change but you will always know you gave it your best effort.
