Easter Egg-stravaganza

This weekend was filled with lots of fun celebrations.  Saturday morning, we headed to Heritage Hills for their annual Easter egg hunt.  It was raining, but that didn't get the kids spirits down.  I was quite shocked to see how much stuff they had.  The did the hunt in waves.  Jeremy was first:

They had split the groups up so only about 40 kids were hunting at each time.  Jeremy got a ton of candy and he won a prize which was an Easter basket full of toy cars.  He was excited.

Bailee was in the younger group and they had them hunt inside.

She didn't win a prize, and there was so much candy she looked at her basket and stopped in the middle of the hunt and said "Mom, I think I have enough."

After the hunt we headed down to Richfield.  Shauna had invited us to an Easter party filled with food, fun, and of course an egg hunt:

Shauna was tricky.  She taped quarters to the back of the candy.  Bailee walked away with a basket full of candy and over $4 in quarters.  I don't know how she does it.  That night we headed up to Payson to spend the night with Cory and Sharon.  We brought up an entertainment center and computer desk (more on that later).  We had dinner and watched a movie.  We put the kids to bed up in Payson (wearing some of Cory and Sharon's old t-shirts) and they woke up Easter morning at home.  They were a little disoriented at first, but realized where they were eventually.  They came upstairs, excited to see what the Easter bunny had left for them:

We went a little light for Easter this year.  Jeremy got a basketball and Bailee got a My Little Pony.  They couldn't be happier with it.  After church we had dinner and headed out to the meadow to roll some Easter Eggs.

It was a little chilly, but the kids had a blast.

There was a little hill just off to the side that was perfect for rolling eggs, after Matt had dug a trench of course.

Jenny forgot to bring Zoey a coat so she got bundled up in Grandpa's hood.

It was a great weekend filled with candy, family, fun, food, candy, rain, egg hunts, candy, and a feisty computer desk.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend. I love the tradition of rolling eggs down the hill, I even made Ray's family do it yesterday. Ahhh memories.

The traditional roll the easter eggs down the hill was a giant success. They kids had such a great time and the adults had fun watching them. Little Zoey even got into the act. This is one tradition that I hope will go on in our family through all generations. The meadow is a perfect place. You can drive right up to the hill, get out and have the fun with hardly any exertion. That's my kind of easter egg hill. Thanks kids for making holidays so fun for me.
