Zach’s farewell was this weekend. So we called Brandon and Angie and asked if we could stay over with them to celebrate. We spent the morning watching Garrett and Chandler play football. After, the men went to go get Matt’s prized fixer-upper truck (I’m sure he’ll tell you all about it), and then we went bowling. The kids had so much fun. Everyone grabbed some shoes and picked out the perfect bowling ball.
Then the bowling began. First the kids:
I think Sam crossed the line, don’t you? Look! Father/Son bowling:
The twins would gently push their ball down the lane:
and it took too long for Ben, so he made himself comfortable:
The adults all looked the same:
Now if you look very carefully at all those photos, every adult has the exact same look on their mouths. It was very serious. Matt even forwent fashion faux paus to get a better score, and he still lost:
Everyone was having a lot of fun, especially Angie:
Then all the kids climbed onto the carousel.
All that bowling worked up an appetite, so we headed to the Chinese restaurant and there were so many of us (Shauna joined us for dinner) they had to put us in the back room:
That night, Brandon and Angie put a sheet up on the side of the house and we gathered under a creepy, nearly full moon:
We watched X-men first class:
We had to fast forward through a few spots, but it was still a fun night out. The next morning was Zach’s farewell and dinner. He did an excellent job speaking on the responsibilities of member missionaries. He we be an excellent missionary and bless the people of Venture. It was a fun weekend filled with family, fun, and of course food!

Lots of good times with a whole bunch of people. Can't get better than that.
It was really a lot of fun having everyone get together. I think the reason they put us in the back room of the restaurant is because we were so loud. Shauna said she just had to follow the noise when she got there. ;) Good luck Zach! Forget yourself and go to work and all will be well.
