The Polka Dot Place

Bailee has been out of sorts as of late.  100_0020With Jeremy starting school, it has left her without a playmate.  So you can imagine her excitement this morning when she FINALLY started preschool.  Last week we had a back to school night at her preschool.  She met her teacher, Mrs. Ludlow (Travis' wife)  and she played around for a bit and even met the school mascot: Reclaw

We filled out some papers, and she was super excited for school to start.

Fast forward to this morning.  Bailee comes up to me bubbling over with excitement because today is her big day.  First day of school.  So I leave for work and promise I will be back to take her to school.  Of course we needed the mandatory first day of school pics:

Then we were out the door.

And on our way.  DeAnn was there to greet all the new students and Bailee couldn't stop smiling.

One thing I am absolutely excited about this year is that the Polka Dot Place Preschool is a Service preschool.  They will do all the school work and fieldtrips and even take practice Kindergarten entrance exams, but also, once a month, they will do a service project. I love that.  Not only are the being taught academic principles, but they are learning the importance of service.  So I can't wait for this year.  Good Luck Bailee!!!  I hope you have a blast.

That's awesome. How cute are the pictures. It's cool, the preschool is doing something alittle out of the norm. She will have a fun year.

I was way impressed as you were with the school. You know she will learn great things because the teacher is great. I think the Ludlow's are trying to be a good influence in all their spheres of influence. How good is that. Go Bailee. I know you will do well.

Bailee called me in the morning to tell me about her getting ready for school. During the conversation, Abby was doing her hair, and I heard Bailee say, away from the phone, "No mom! I want it in piggy tails." So particular. She'll do great! and learn so much to be as smart as her old man. nah, that's aiming too low, maybe she can be as smart as her mom.
