I am the Master of My Own Universe!!

The time has come.  I have put it off for years.  In October I decided that I was no longer going to let caffeine have control over me.  I gotta tell you, I feel liberated.  I don't "need" anything.  With this euphoria, I have decided to tackle another issue that has plagued me my whole life.  I, Abby Lyn. Morrill, am going to learn how to cook.  You might be saying to yourself, "You don't know how to cook?  How can that be?"  It was easy, I just went out.  Then I married Matt and he LOVES to cook so I let him take the reins in that aspect of our marriage.  On the few occasions where I have tried to cook I have either burned myself pretty badly or I have started things on fire.  I am not exaggerating.  I tried to make rice a roni once and started my stove on fire.  But I can do it.  Don't worry, I have plenty of burn cream and the fire extinguisher will be right at my side, but I am determined to learn to cook.  I am going to learn how to measure things and saute and I might even learn how to make waffles.  You never know.  A new era begins.  I will now be known as "Cooking Abby".  Whenever any of you have a party, you won't have to ask me to bring the chips - I will actually be able to cook something - and it will taste delicious.  Just wait, I am entering a brave new world.  Watch out Martha Stewart - here I come!!!

To the horrer stories, i can attest are true. I've seen my stove burning where it shouldn't be burning, and more smoke coming out of it than it was designed to handle. She can do it though. One thing i've noticed about Abby is that if she decides to do something, she can do it. Go Abby Go!!!

Just proves that anything is possible if that is what you want to do. This will be a new era for your family. Will see how it goes.

And, way to go on the no coke thing. YOU ROCK!

The microwave is my best friend!! that includes cooking the meat in there. Well I expect you to be a gormet chef by the next time I see you!! Is 2 years long enough for you? because I think that is how long it will be before we get back there.

You can do it. I am excited to try one of your creations. You have always been a person who could do anything she wanted. I admire that. Have fun creating a new chapter in your life.

Go Abby! If you can quit coke, you can do anything. I am sure Rob would love to know how you did the caffeine thing. Please do share...
