The lights are off, nobody's home - it's quiet. It has been 10 days, but still I expect Sam to come running up to me when I walk through the door and ask me if I am done with work. I still expect to see this as I pull out of the driveway:
And I still expect to see this as I round the corner heading into the kitchen:
One day I couldn't find my keys and I looked and looked until I saw this:
Even after 10 days I am surprised when I don't see this:
or this:
or even this:
And I certainly miss this:
and this:
So even though we had six kids under the age of 5 in our house for over two months, we still made some great memories. I can look back at the "Seizure Fire Drills and the Cancer Dance" and giggle while we drank our slurpees. I remember the evening meals with the kids coming up and asking me to check for holes in their tummies that they needed to fill with more bites of food. I enjoyed the spontaneous outings we took and the late night card games and yummy smoothies. It was a great time and I would do it all again. So I guess what I am saying is: "Thanks for the Memories!!"

Sniff, sniff. We did have a lot of fun. Thank you for the memories. And, we're not so far away that we can't have more, right?
I find myself hearing... "hey matt! What you goin?" and then i have to say "where, where are you going". It was a bundle of good times crammed into a couple short months. I'm glad that we did it and am grateful to be able to help.
Boy sounds like you need more kids around the house!! Stephen I still mentioning Jeremy. Yesterday he asked if he could call him and I told him that he could once he got his room clean, but it never did.
The thing in Alli's mouth is a magnet from the magna doodle pad.
I thought I commented on this one but I guess I didn't. I too muss the hubbub. It was quite some fun. Now getting used to quieter times.
