Birthday Celebrations

Yesterday morning, I thought I had made a fatal mistake.  Bailee was still asleep, so I woke her up to sing her Happy Birthday, but she just moaned and pulled the covers up over her head (isn't that supposed to happen when she is a teenager?).    However, when I got off work at 2:30, I was greeted by a little girl who was more than happy to tell anyone she met that she was now four years old.  She got to take a birthday treat to her preschool class and they had a little party.  She felt so grown-up.  When I picked her up from school we went to have Ice Cream with Grandpa Max and Grandma Cindy 100_0902plus Sharon and her boys surprised us.  So we talked and had ice cream, then we went out to dinner with the Morrills.   I know that it was Bailee's Birthday, but I wanted 100_0907 mashed potatoes from TGI Friday's so bad, so guess where we went?   The food was good and our server even surprised Bailee  with some ice cream and 100_0908a birthday song.  It took some coaxing, but she even shared with everyone.  It was a fun day, and Jeremy is already planning where we are going to go eat on his birthday.

Yeah, guess where the boy wants to go for his birhtday...Carls Jr. He called it the "Star Resturant", and it had a playground. Go figure eh? It was a good time to be had by all. The best part is we went back to Cory and Sharon's and Abby spent most of the time getting their kids all crazy just in time for us to leave. :)

Bailee was very cute about how old she was. I remember with Louis it was 5 that was special but I think 4 means more to Bailee. She was quite proud. It is great when they are excited about it. Time certainly marches on.

What a cutie. Bailee really is growing up. Just wait till she's a teenager and she doesn't want anything to do with the family. These are the times we need to cherish, I know that I am finding out that they are only little for a short time and before you know it the cute little baby girl is gone.

We had fun. It's been years since I've been to TGIF. I think I gained 10 pounds from all the cheese they smothered my food in.
The kids went straight to bed without any trouble. Abby wore them out.

Birthdays are so fun...when you are little. I wish I could be so excited.

P.S. I am really hoping you will do a how-to-black-friday-shop-blog. I need some good deals, but not sure if I am brave enough. Tried it a couple of times. I need all the tips on how to scour the adds. Sharon said you are definitely the pro.

Bonnie,
It depends on what you are looking for: electronics, video games, board games, clothes? Different stores have different deals for each category.
