Fall of Festivities #13 Part 2

After breakfast we headed across the esplanade over to California Adventure.  We headed over to Toy Story Mania, but by the time we got there, it was a 50 minute wait!!  I went over to the Cast Member and showed Dad’s GAC so he gave us a slip of paper with a time to comeback.  So everyone decided to take a spin on California Screamin’.  That roller coaster is crazy fast and not necessarily my cup of tea.  So while the rest of the adults went on the roller coaster, I got all the kids and took them to King Triton’s Carousel.

After our spin Under the sea, we headed over to Mickey’s Fun Wheel.  We choose to get the stationary gondolas.  That Ferris Wheel is HUGE.  Waiting in line:

Then it was time to head back to Toy Story.  We walked to the exit and they let us right on.

After our time in Paradise Pier we headed over towards Bug’s Land.  The park wasn’t very crowded at all:

We did some rides in Bug’s Land.  My back was still hurting so I opted to skip the Bumper Cars.

Then we headed over to Francis’ Ladybug Boogie:

Then we decided to head over to the Animation Building:

We waited in the Lobby.  It is one of my favorite places.  It is vast and open and just peaceful.  I love it in there:

After our talk with Crush we headed over to Monsters:

We all loaded into our cabs to take a drive through Monstropolis:

So we are almost to the end of the ride and I snapped this picture:

Suddenly the ride stops and the lights come on.  Jeremy looks over at me and says, “Great job mom, you broke the ride because you took a flash picture.” (We later found out that someone threw up on the ride).  So while we were waiting for them to come let us out we snapped some pictures:

Once they let us out, we headed over to Soarin’ for one last ride:

Then we headed out to have a rest before the rest of the night.  Disney Visa Holders got a free print of WOC, so we stopped into the customer service station to pick up our free gift and we headed back to the hotel.
Around 4, we got up and headed to Disneyland.  We wanted to do some shopping before our dinner reservation at the Thunder Ranch BBQ.  We met up with everyone and waited for our table:

After we were seating, the eating began.  They brought out TONS of stuff.

It was dark by the time we got finished with dinner, so we headed towards the Rivers of America to start saving places for Fantasmic.  We took turns saving places and shopping and then about 20 minutes before it started everyone came to wait.  Mom kept the kids busy by hiding a plastic water bottle somewhere and the kids had to find it.  Megan was having TONS of fun:

Then the show started.  I LOVE fantasmic.  It is so cool:

After the show, the fireworks start and you can watch them right from the Rivers of America.  After the fireworks, I wanted to do a little more shopping so I sent Matt back to the hotel with the kids and Mom and I shopped our hearts out.  It was a great vacation and I am glad that we were able to go!!

It was the perfect send off for our trip. The show was great and the dinner was awesome! The BBQ was decent, though I would have prefered something a little less tangy. It was all very good. I'm glad that we were able to go on this trip. It was something that our family has needed.

I was also disappointed in the Barbeque. I think our money would have been more well spent if we had gone to Goofy's kitchen. Live and learn. I loved this night because Lynn and I went to the Carnation Plaza and listened to old band music and watched the fantastic dancers. Lynn liked that as well. We had an amazing time and the only problem was it ended too soon.

I agree with you about the barbeque it could have been better but oh well next time we will do something different, maybe a character dining experience or something like that. This day seemed like it went a little too fast. I wish it didn't end. I needed this trip, and it was a lot of fun being together. Hopefully we can get everyone to come with us next time?
