6 Years Old!!

I remember bringing this pudgy baby home after only 1 day in the hospital.  She was ALL cheeks.  Jeremy (still in diapers) LOVED it when the little hair fuzz would tickle his nose.  Family said she looked like a porcelain doll.  Now she is 6 years old!  Linsey came up for the weekend so we had a big party on Sunday.

I discovered that Sam’s Club’s cakes are cheaper than the ones at Walmart and twice as big:

 
The adults observed that all the grandkids are getting older because usually when the birthday cake comes out, the shirts come off, but this time everyone kept their clothes on.  I seriously think that birthday cake is the best kind of cake.  They all seemed to enjoy it:







  
Then it was time for presents.  Bailee was most excited for this:






She was really excited for this art set.  It was HUGE.  I ordered it online and I didn’t think it would be that big, but Bailee LOVES it!!

This year, she gave Grandma very specific instructions on what she would like for her birthday, and Grandma delivered:

Wednesday (her actual birthday) we went to Fat Jack’s Pizza with the Morrill’s.  I don’t know why I didn’t think about getting out my camera.  We had a TON of pizza and the Morrill’s gave Bailee the game, Candyland.  Time just keeps flying by.  To commemorate the occasion, here are 6 facts about my darling daughter.
1.  She loves art.  She’ll draw, sculpt, color, and cut out designs in paper.  She is proud of every one of her creations!
2.  She is always singing.  Primary hymns, Christmas songs, or whatever is on the radio.  Even if she doesn’t know the words she’ll hum and tap her foot!
3.  She is an excellent helper.  She is a pro at folding laundry, vacuuming a room, and even making her bed.
4.  She loves to cuddle in bed.  She’ll climb into bed with Matt and I on Sunday and snuggle right up and put her arm around me.  She certainly has a way of making you feel loved.
5.  Although she isn’t really a girly girl, she loves PINK.  Its her favorite color and when picking out clothes, she would choose pink everything. 
6.  She loves sitting on laps.  She’ll climb up on my lap and put her arm around me and caress my hair and tell me all about her day, whether it is building snowmen, making crafts in school, or her adventures in the tree house.  She loves to sit and talk.
