Kids Do the Darndest Things

For the past couple of weeks with exception of the holiday break, I have been dropping off Jeremy at school around 7:50.  I was under the impression that school started at 8:00 but I found out today that it starts at 8:15.  When Jeremy would give me a kiss goodbye he would run and find his friends.  When I asked him what he was doing he just said, "I'm playing with my friends until school starts."  So I get a phone call today from Daphne Black.  She is Jeremy's primary president, but she is also a lunch lady at the school.  Apparently, Jeremy has been going to breakfast with his friends for the last little while.  He was under the impression that breakfast was free.  Well it isn't.  Daphne was kind enough to set up an account for Jeremy so now, I can just pay for his breakfast.  I am glad that she called me before he racked up a huge tab.

What? No free breakfast??? Way to run up the breakfast bill, Jer. I don't know. Breakfast at home sounds a lot better than school breakfast. Does this mean you're going to keep dropping him off at 7:50?
Hilarious.

Hey, kids got to eat. at least he's being sociable...and getting food. :) it's the best of both worlds. I'm glad that we were informed of his actions before the bill was out of this world.

He was so amazed when I told him it wasn't free. I asked him what he had today and he said cereal and pudding. I also asked if he had eaten it all and he so because he didn't have time and the lady was running them all out of the lunch room.

Why does school start so early? I thought Kenzie started early. I do have to say, here the breakfast is free for everyone and it is great because I'm not that great at making breakfast.

That is so cute. He just wanted to hang out with his friends right;) Rachel also gets breakfast in the morning. Its a good way to socialize, and it also means I don't have to cook so I am all for that.
