When He Said He Loved Me

When Matt and I started dating, I was a bit more fragile than most other women.  After various cases of me running away from him something happened.  We were hiking to Cascade Falls in Cedar City.  Once we got to the water, we were talking and Matt leans into me and whispers “I Love you.”  Suddenly my jerk reaction was to run away, but I looked into his eyes and I could tell that he really meant it.  As we were hiking back, I bent down and picked up a rock so I could always remember the day he said he loved me:

I’ve always wanted to do something to display this love token of ours and I finally figured it out:

I put the tiny rock in all by itself and I realized it needed a little more filler, so here ya go:

I might change the vinyl to white.  I’m not quite sure though.  So after that fateful waterfall hike, ten years later we are happily married with two wonderful kids and our marriage really does rock!!

You bet it does baby girl!! And I must say that I love you even more now that I did 10 years ago or any time in between. I treasure that memory of ours and will never forget it. I love you baby.

Time cannot dim such a precious memory. Glad you have a tangible way to remember it.
