Disneyland Day One Part One

Tuesday was everyone’s travel day. Brandon left Monday night and made it St. George and got up and finished the long trek to California. Shauna and Cory left Tuesday morning. Cory stopped off to get some bon voyage pictures:
and we must not forget the fat one:
After work, Matt and I loaded up our car and drove to Primm:

We made it to Stateline and crashed only to get up 5 short hours later at 4am. At first, the kids were a little tough to wake up: DSCN2193
But both families were up and dressed and on the road at 4AM on the dot! DSCN2196
We turned onto Harbor Blvd. in Anaheim at 8AM and the kids started squealing once they saw this: DSCN2197
and this:
We checked into our hotel, but our rooms weren’t ready, so we gathered everyone and headed over to get our tickets and we waited at the security check: This display was placed in the center of the esplanade: DSCN2199 After we were let through security, we stopped at the ticket office to grab our tickets. Somehow I managed to have little Ben with me. Once I got my tickets, I went to go wait in line over at the gates. As we were walking across the esplanade, the monorail passes and Ben starts jumping up and down and exclaims, “Look Abby!! A Space Train!! I love this place.” I couldn’t help but giggle. We walked through the gates and stop at the Floral Mickey for a group shot: Then we cross under the bridge. Some of the older adults waited to go get fast passes for Space Mountain while the rest of us got in a line to see Pluto: DSCN2205
I was so excited for the warm and I loved the flowers: DSCN2206
Ben was having a grand time: DSCN2207
When we started to get closer to see Pluto, Bridger decided he wasn’t too excited to see him, so Angie hopped in the picture with him: Then, Disneyland dropped the rope at the end of Main Street and we were off. The plan was for the adults to run and grab fast passes and meet us at Pirates for our first ride. But there was some communication errors and we waited: DSCN2210
and waited and no one was coming. So after Matt informs us that they went on Buzz we headed onto Pirates and they could meet up with us after. My camera doesn’t do the greatest without the flash. Cory said this was his favorite scene on the ride: DSCN2219
As we were getting off pirates, we saw the stragglers: DSCN2221
and then we headed over to Haunted Mansion. Cory had to run and move his van so it wouldn’t get towed so we had fun taking pictures while we waited for him to get back: DSCN2223
This was a common sight the entire trip:
Kade was a good sport having Jeremy glued to his shoulders for three days. Cory finally caught up to us and we went to visit the 999 happy haunts. After our trip on our “doom” buggies, we headed over to California Adventure. More to come . . .

Holy cow that was a lot of stuff we did, and that was just the morning. I'm excited to see all of what we did again. So many memories. Thank goodness for digital cameras I say. It was really good to have everyone there on this trip. I think that we all had a really good time, even though we may or may not have been sleep deprived at this time. ;)

Quite a group. Being together is great. Having older ones help makes it so much easier.

Cool, cool. Looks like you were having fun. I wanted to go so bad, and I had to restrain myself from breaking down and finding a way to go to. It took alot of restraint. Can't wait to see the rest.
