This year, the city has decided to turn Nephi into Halloweentown. Each business, school organization, or family can make a monster and display them along Main Street. I was a little skeptical of this at first. I thought no one would do it. Boy was I wrong. The other night, Matt and I hopped in the car and drove around to look at all of the displays. There were cute ones, the clever, to gory. Here are some of my favorites:
This is probably the most gory one created by the Fire Department and the EMT's.
Lisa's Country Kitchen created this "Haunted Cafe"
I believe a family did this one.
I'm sure Jeremy and Bailee feel like the dentist is ALWAYS a torturing skeleton.
I didn't have the right angle on this one. But the face of this guy is the clown from "It" Creeeepy.
I like the headless horseman at WellsFargo!! Run Ichabod Run!!
Various monsters in front of City Hall.
Another City Hall shot.
I'm sure the headless horseman could buy a head from Jack Skellington at the Hair Salon.
All cracks aside, Tolley Plumbing shows you just how scary being a plumber really is.
The ominous zombie on top of the grocery store sign.
I like Movies Plus' rendition of Corpse Bride.
And of course, my place of employment. DeeAnn came up with the design and I helped her put everything up. Its a surveyor skeleton. Cute right? I think it is great that my little town is getting into the Halloween spirit. Happy Halloween Everybody!!

Those are fun things. I hope nobody gets into a wreck and ends up like the fire department one when everyone is driving slow to look at them all ;)
I am thoroughly enjoying it. I like how you said "all cracks aside" on the plumbing one. I laughed out loud when I read that one. It's definitely festive and is way fun to see.
I have loved this too. Everyday when I take Bailee to school I can see them. I think our town is great, all we needed was someone to say, Hey, let's do this. I live in the best place on earth.
I would have to agree! I like how they are getting into the spirit of things and making it an enjoyable time of the year.
What a fun idea! We may have to take a slight detour through Nephi on our way to AZ. My girls would absolutely love the decor!
Nephi has come a long way. Fun stuff. We will have to come down and see it all.
