For FHE last night, Matt decided he wanted to plan it. So we got home from work, had some dinner and Matt gathers everyone around the table. He starts reading and summarizing the story Helaman's stripling warriors. After we read the story, Matt informs us that we will be reinacting the battle. Jeremy and Bailee are the stripling warriors:
And Matt and I are the Lamanites:
We march toward each other and the battle ensues. Bailee was a little scared and would close her eyes and swing her sword hoping to hit me. Jeremy on the other hand, pounced on Matt and thwacked him left and right until he was victorious:
After the battle, we sat the kids down and asked them ways that they could be stripling warriors in real life. Bailee said she could always tell the truth and mind Grandma and Grandpa. Jeremy said that we should love everybody and pay tithing so we are protected. So even though Matt and I ended up beaten on the ground, it was a fun FHE.

I was really afraid after a couple of those swings that the boy was aiming at me. It was a very good time. I hope the kids learned a little something about choosing the right.
You guys are so creative I love it.
Way to go - teaching your kids to be violent. :)
Really, that does sound like fun. Your kids will remember these FHEs for years to come. Very creative.
That was really good until you sigged them on your dad and me. They thought it was great. I hope they remember the analysis also.
That's cool. What a fun night. I hope they remember what they have learned. The promises are there that if you hold FHE your family will not falter, so your family will be that much stronger. Good job.
