Well, another Fourth of July celebration is under our belt. Every year we take the kids down to the park to have a little fun in the sun. First, we start off with a little tire swing ride.
Then we headed over to play a little Price is Right "Plinko." Gotta love the Plinko.
Of course, no Fourth of July celebration is complete without a turn at the sucker tree and fishing for frogs. The kids got a kick out of it.
We finished off with a spin around the park in the jail. Of course, the jail birds got what they deserve when some boys ran along side the jail and squirted everyone with water guns. They were less than enthused.
Matt took the kids home to cool down and take a nap. I however, had to stay three more hours and help the Young Women with their booth. They were spray painting hair, and I had the 1-4 time slot. It was hot, hot, hot, but very fun. Joni even got to give a grandma a red Mohawk. Her idea, not Joni's, she was ecstatic.
By four, I was hot and tired, so I went home and showered. While I was in the shower, Matt had ordered Chinese food. Love Chinese food. So we vegged on the couch and waited until it got dark. We got the glow sticks out and headed to the High School football field. 
The fireworks were awesome. Laying right underneath them made them seem HUGE. An excellent 35 minute show.
The kids went to bed sunburned but happy, so I would say that my job is done.

One thing that was neglected...I bailed hay all night the night before and got about 20 minutes shut eye before the day of festivities began. It was still a fun time, hot for sure, but a good time. I was glad when the fireworks were over. I almost passed out on the drive home. I love the 4th of July in Nephi!

we were thinking about you guys all day while we ate our pink popcorn. The friends loved it. Glad you all had a great time.
It would not be summer without 4th of July in Nephi. Your kids had a great time. It is fun for me to watch everybody and see how happy they are.
The 4th in Nephi is always the best! July is like the hip time for Nephi! It's great!! Good old Nephi!!!
