Another Graduate, the Final Graduate

Last night was Bailee’s Kindergarten Graduation.  She was very excited.
  
I sent Matt to go save seats and we headed into her classroom to get her ready:

Her group was one of the last to perform.  Her song was Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star:



 
Then we waited for the principal to start calling all the graduates names:

We went home and had a special graduation dinner and then sent the kiddos off to bed.  It was a great night, and we are so proud of Bailee and her accomplishment.

Zoo 2.0

Yesterday was Jeremy’s turn to go to the zoo, only this time, Matt took off work to go with him.  I signed him up as a chaperone so he had to ride the bus up with all of the excited students.  Apparently there was a kid sitting next him that wouldn’t stop asking him questions. 
The weather wasn’t looking very good, but they got to the zoo and they took off on their adventure.  Matt would keep me updated with texts as to what they were doing.  I sent the camera with him and he got a few pics.  Their first stop were the cats:

Then they saw the elephants:

Then they went to see the Rhinos, but they weren’t out.

So they ran into the giraffe house and played some cards while they waited for the it to calm down a bit.

Then Mrs. Webster came and said they decided to leave early since the weather wasn’t co-operating.  So they got one last picture on their way out:

Jeremy loved having his Dad with him at the zoo.  And even though is was snowy and wet, they both had a ball.

 

Branding and Bacon

This weekend Brandon and his boys came up to help brand.  Matt was up and gone before I woke up and could tell him to the take the camera for pictures.  But as we were talking about the day, it seemed everyone had fun and the work got done.  Matt and Brandon even managed to convince Connor of the vindictive nature of the cows and Connor spent most of the day on the school bus.  When all the work was done we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate a job well done.  So we went to Denny’s.  About halfway through the meal I looked over and noticed a little advertisement.  I was just glad that I was mostly done with my dinner because it was a pretty nasty sight:

I only had my phone so the picture isn’t very good.  Yes, that is a bacon ice cream sundae.  Bacon!!  Let me say that again.  BACON!!!  Firstly, I don’t like bacon that much in the first place, but putting it in an ice cream sundae!!  Are they serious?  But wait, it gets better:

That is the bacon pyramid.  GROSS!!!  Bacon meatloaf, Bacon flapjacks, and at the very top the Bacon Sundae.  Eewwww!!  Nasty.  Honestly, I don’t know what Denny’s was thinking.  Oh wait, I know what they were thinking:  “Mmmmm, we love bacon.  How can we make everyone love bacon?  That’s it, put it in some ice cream.  Yah, that will do the trick.” 
Anyhoo, after dinner the Morrill’s headed home and we headed to see Thor (which is an awesome movie by the way).  It was a great day and we were so glad that they came up!!  Thanks guys!

31 Ain’t So Bad

Thursday was my birthday.  It was an eventful day.  I left work a little early to make it to the kids ball games.  Both of them were playing at 5 so Matt went to Jeremy’s and Mom and I went to Bailee’s.  She was so very excited to be playing.  She would wave at us the entire time.  We’ve got work on her swinging her hips when she bats though:


The coach had everyone line up on the pitchers mound and take turns so everyone got a chance to field the ball:


Since it is just t-ball they only do 2 innings.  So after her game we ran over to Jeremy’s game.  Matt was keeping me informed with texts.  When we got there he was playing first base:

But that was the last inning.  We then went home and had some birthday cake and once again, Matt insisted on all 31 candles.  :(



After cake, Matt had me open my present – Death Cab tickets to their concert in August.  I’m so stoked for that.  I love Death Cab for Cutie.  Plus he said he had a little surprise planned for Memorial Day weekend.  I wonder what it could be.  It was a great birthday and 31 ain’t so bad.

The Zoo

Wednesday, Bailee has a school field trip to the zoo.  She woke up VERY excited.  As we were getting closer to the zoo, the storm clouds were also getting closer, and since I didn’t not bring jackets we had to stop and buy some.  The colder weather didn’t get Bailee’s spirits down though.  She LOVED it:

Bailee loved these drinking fountains,  she wanted a picture every time we spotted one.

Then we made it to the giraffes:


Then we headed over to the reptile/bird room.  It didn’t smell so great, so we didn’t stay long there.  After lunch we checked out the one gorilla:
 


Because the bottom half of the zoo was closed we were only there for about 2 hours and then we headed home.  Bailee and a blast and it was nice to be able to spend a day with just the girls.
