The next morning, we were up and some of the first at the gates, because there were four families, mom was insistent on saving 4 gates, so each of us stood at a gate until a family arrived. It was a good thing too because we were asked to open the park!!!! Shauna was hurrying but didn’t make it in time. We got a quick photo before we started the countdown.
I begged Chandler and Gabby to get fast passes for Radiator Springs while we rode the Fantasyland Rides, and they were kind enough to comply. Once we got everyone’s tickets the teenagers were off to California Adventure, and we waited at the rope drop to head into Fantasyland.
I knew it would be too crazy and hectic to have everyone go on the rides at the same time, so everyone chose a partner, and once the roped dropped they would start with Peter Pan, Mr. Toad, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Snow White and meet at the Tea Cups for a spin. So at 8, everyone took off:
Then we hopped on some catepillars and followed the rabbit down the rabbit hole with Alice:
After a quick bathroom break, the teenagers were back with the group and they headed on the Matterhorn, while Mom, Sharon, and I took Dallin on the Storybookland boats.
Then we all made our way to Toontown for some pictures with Minnie and Mickey, and a little ride on Gadget’s Go-Coaster:
Then we made our way to the train station to ride it all the way to New Orleans Square to take a ride down Splash Mountain:
Yes I used spencer as a splash shield. Next we went on Haunted Mansion and then Pirates where we took up a whole boat:
And we couldn’t walk by Adventureland without going on Indiana Jones, so Mom grabbed some churros and we took the little ones to Main Street to wait for our group:
The group met up with us and we started making our way over to California Adventure to ride Radiator Springs. As we were walking suddenly Isaac was no where to be found.
He apparently wandered into a store and got lost, but after Matt went to City Hall, they hopped on the radio and found him in 5 minutes. We headed over to ride Monster’s Inc and just as we are about to board the ride:
It breaks down, so we headed over to use our fast passes for Radiator Springs:
It was getting hot and time for lunch, so we split up to meet back at the Tiki at room at 5:00. The girls decided to do some shopping and Matt and Jeremy went back to the room for some lunch and a nap.
Coming up . . . the Fantasmic end to our vacation.

It was great to open the park. If only Shauna and her family were there to be with us. ;) I actually really liked taking a buddy and doing the fantasyland rides. So smart. By the way, I hate the teacups, but I still went on them...just once. I would also like to note that they stopped the train when we were leaving the station because Cory had the stroller open instead of broke down. It was classic.
Mickey and Minnie could not believe all the people in one family. It was great.
