Yay!! I love the summer of movies and there have been some really awesome one that have come out. We started the Summer of Movies with:
Source Code: This movie kept me guessing right up to the end. Matt couldn’t even figure it out. Although it was highly unrealistic, it had a plot that kept you guessing. Plus, 2 hours of Jake Gyllenhaal, you can’t go wrong with that.
Thor: Oh man, my inner comic book nerd was going crazy when I saw this. It was awesome. The special effects were amazing. The rainbow bridge blew me away. We saw this one a few times. The storyline was solid and kept right in line with the comic book. I love, love, love this show.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides: What, no Will Turner? I was a little skeptic of this show after the awfulness that was At World’s End. But this is my favorite Pirates apart from Curse of the Black Pearl. Blackbeard was a menacingly awesome villain. The storyline was awesome and although the mermaids were terrifying, it entertained the whole time.
KungFu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom: I loved the first Panda and the second one didn’t disappoint. There were parts in the movie that tugged on your heart strings and other parts that kept you on the edge of your seat. It was fun for the whole family.
X-Men First Class: I was very excited for this prequel to the X-men franchise. Plus with lead actors like James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender playing Charles Xavier and Eric Lehnsherr respectively you know its going to be a solid movie.
17 Miracles: An excellent depiction of the what the early Latter-Day Saints experienced. I was told to bring tissues with me and I used almost the whole package. The love story between George and Sarah is one that I have studied in the past and they beautifully portrayed it. It is truly an unforgettable movie.
Green Lantern: My inner nerd was also very excited for this movie until Blake Lively played on awful Carol Ferris. She had no emotion in face. It was horrid. The special effects were a lot darker than those of Thor and the story seemed to drag. It wasn’t one of my favorites.
Cars 2: Cars is probably my favorite Pixar movie. It invoked a sense of travel and nostalgia that hasn’t subsided so I was very excited about a sequel. The scenery was beautiful and bright and colorful. And the story line was clever although most of the funny jokes were in the trailers, it was still awesome. And a great family outing.
There are still some great movies coming up and I can’t wait (esp. for Harry Potter)!

For someone who was complaining that summer was going to be boring you have gone to a lot of movies. There have no lack of good ones to see.
i love you that you did this cuz i was actually just thinking tonight, "what movies do i want to see in the dollars?" and there ya go, i now know!!!
I've enjoyed the movies so far. We had a bit of an issue with Tranformers. The power in the whole town went out when we were about half way through the viewing. But that's okay because they gave us tickets to come back and see the whole thing again. The only thing about it is the power went out just after some big plot twists were revealed.
