Yes, unfortunately it has. Initially I was at a loss for words. After so much time planning and fortifying against it – It has returned.
About a week ago, I got it in my mind to get rid of the bed in the spare bedroom. It had become the place where I just threw stuff. It was always a mess. So before making a trip to the dump I asked Jenny and Justin if they wanted the bed and they did. So yesterday Justin came to pick it up. Jeremy was vacuuming the dining room and Bailee was putting away odds and ends. Justin threw the bed in the back of the truck and came back in to get the frame. He loaded in his arms and was literally running to the door. I thought that was a little odd. I went about my tasks. A few moments later I went to lock the front door because Matt was at school and wouldn’t be home for a while. I passed my beautiful blue and silver tree:
And then I FROZE and GASPED. It had returned in all it’s glory:
THE SINGING COW!!!!
I thought for sure we had escaped it this year. I mean, after such a diabolical disposal last year, I thought for sure it had met its maker, but no, I am tormented yet again.
NO YOU MAY NOT SLEEP WITH ME!! I LOATHE YOU!! I DESPISE YOU!!! YOU ARE THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE!!
As I was yelling this to the cow, the kids heard the commotion and came to check it out. What was the first thing they did you ask? Yup, they pushed the stupid button for him to sing his stupid song. And then they proceeded to push it over and over and over and over . . . . .
I grab my cell phone and dial Jenny’s number. As soon as she picks up the phone she lets out a diabolical laugh. I gasp and say “How dare you?!?!” She just laughs some more and says “Enjoy!” And as she is hanging up both of them are laughing a deep menacing laugh. Grrrrr. The war is not over, but unfortunately, I have to wait a whole year before I can exact my revenge!! But it will come . . . oh yes . . . it WILL come. Mwah hah hah!!

It Has Returned

I think this will be one of those things that is so hideous it can't be destroyed, but will hang around forever in one or the other's closet for a year until it can be let out again on happy Christmas. May the games continue.
We'll bide our time. We've got plenty of it. Don't worry, the singing cow will resurface next year and i will not be in our possession when it does. I think that we might need to send a little "message" with the cow when we return it giving warning. Yes...it will be sweet. I got a text with a picture of the cow in the middle of my final exam last night.
hahaha!!! That's funny! Just think though one day the battery will DIE. And you'll keep the cow just for the memories.
