A Christmas Prayer

We have received a TON of snow and it isn’t stopping, it is still coming down:

And my Dad has also had a couple of Christmas calves (which is usually what happens during a huge snow storm). Yesterday Jeremy decided to head out with Dad to check on the Ranch.  One of the baby calves was near death.  Jeremy loves to name the calves.  He named the 1st one “Noel” and the second one (the one near death) “Sicky”  As the snow was coming down, Dad was trying to save the little thing when he felt a little tug on his leg.  He turns around and Jeremy says:
”Grandpa, I think we need to say a prayer.”
So they kneeled down by the baby calf in the middle of a snow storm and said a sweet Christmas prayer to watch over the sick little calf.
This morning, Jeremy comes up to me.
”Sicky is alive mom!!  Heavenly Father watched over him!!”
I started to cry.  I am so thankful that the spirit can touch a 7 year old boy out in a meadow in the middle of a snow storm.  And that Heavenly Father is watching over not only a little calf but my little son as well.  Merry Christmas everyone.

That's my boy!! I love hearing about this stuff. I am thankful that he has faith enough and concern enough to think of prayer during a time when most of us probably would think it was too miserable to kneel in the muddy snow. I'm grateful for snow, my family, calfs, and especially the gospel.

It is amazing the faith that our children have. I hope they always keep it. I brought a tear to my eyes as well. Enjoy the snow.

In taking a closer look at that picture on top. You should get someone out there to shake that branch off before it breaks. That would be alot of shade gone in the summer. See I'm thinking warm thoughts for you. I can't wait for summer to get here.

That is so sweet. And I am glad for the faith of a little boy becaues now we have a calf that is alive instead of dead. We adults need to learn some lessons. We will remember little sicky for a long time.

That is so touching. It makes me want to have that kind of faith. It is amazing that I wouldn't have thought to do something like that and jeremy did and because he did the calf is alive. We all need to have faith like a little child and then all things are possible.

That is so sweet. Heavenly Father really does hear and answer our prayers even a Child's Prayer! It just proves that he is really there, and he is real!
