At the first of May, I got a call from my BFF Holly. She invited me up to SLC to go see Jersey Boys at Capital Theatre. At first, with my schedule and kids, I thought I wouldn’t be able to, but then I realized I needed to make some time for my BFF, so I took some PTO and spend the night with Holly. Our first stop was the Cheesecake Factory.
Gabrielle called while we were eating and asked for a few cheesecakes to bring home that she could sample. We brought home Dulce de Leche, Red Velvet Cheesecake, and Kahlua Coffee Cheesecake:
After our tasty dinner we headed over to the Capital Theatre. As we were walking across the street, we saw that Wicked was coming to SLC next year. We took our usual picture in front of the poster.
We got our seats:
and waited for the show to begin:
Neither of us had any idea of what to expect.
Jersey Boys tells the story of how Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons went from being unknown New Jersey kids to international pop superstars. The show features over 30 beautifully sung tunes, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
It was an interesting story, but there was A LOT of language in it. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the music though.
It was a great night with my BFF!!

Ithink I would have really liked that too. I was a teenager during their rise to fame.
