From Detroit Down to Nephi

Last week Mom got a call from Sheridy saying that she was in Utah and would be at her house the next day.  So I got off work early on Saturday and we headed up to the canyon for dinner.  Matt made some tasty pulled pork and we grabbed a package of hot dogs for the kids to roast and we headed up to our spot:

Then we pulled out the Marshmallows and the kids went to town:

The older kids took off for the creek and we enjoyed the pleasant weather.  As dad was walking with Daniel, he spotted a little visitor:

Stephen wanted to take it home.  Grandma put the breaks on that idea.  Soon, the babies were ready to go:

So we headed back home, showered and went to the new Bourne movie.  It was a nice little outing.  The kids loved getting out and running free, even if they did get soaked in the creek.

I love my family. Nothing better than being together. I like doing that canyon trip once a year. Love you all. Thanks Sheridy for coming. It was great.

I want everyone to know that I had the "magical" roasting stick. The kids each tried and tried to roast marshmallow and ended up torching each one of them (which Stephan was okay with since he professed to love the black ones). Then I let Zoey borrow my roasting stick and hers turned out perfect. Then the kids were fighting for the "magical" roasting stick to toast their marshmallows. It was a wonderful outing. The dinner was good and the weather was fabulous.
