Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
Jesus Christ
and
the American Soldier.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
Today is Veteran’s Day and today I am grateful for freedom. I am grateful to all the service men and women past, present, and future who have put their lives on the line to defend a freedom that I enjoy (and sometimes take for granted) on a daily basis.
“The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission.”
- John F. Kennedy

I don't think enough can be said for our service men and women. I am thankful to be from a family where service to our country is going strong. I am always proud of Cory and Josh when I think of them serving our country. Cory and I occasionally go to lunch together while we're working. He'll be in his camo and I'll be in whatever. Almost everywhere we go someone will stop and thank him for his service to our country. I can't take that guy anywhere. :D
