Galulah

I have no idea how to spell that, but that is what we did on Memorial Day.  Monday morning we loaded up the car (Jenny loaded up hers) and we were off.  Galulah is in between Fairview Canyon and Price.  On the way up the Canyon, Matt insisted on pulling off to "drink in the view."  So we all get out and Dad begins his mischievousness.  We are all standing at the edge of a huge cliff and Dad sneaks up behind each one of us (at different times) and tries to push us forward.  He did that with all of us.

After our pit stop, we continued on through Fairview Canyon, down past the coal mines, through Scofield and we finally made it to Galulah.  The drive was pretty.

Galulah is a big chunk of land that Uncle Calvin owns.  Matt really really wants to go back and go camping.  There are trails for horses and camping.

I'm told that the best part about this particular camping spot is that there is nobody around for miles.  It didn't excite me too much, since I'm not a camper, but it was pretty and it made a fun day trip.  After we left, we headed to Price for some lunch and then headed home.  Matt stopped at the hardware store and bought a bunch of plants for our garden.  It was a nice relaxing holiday.

It definitely surprised me how beautiful it was and very peaceful. That is what I miss about camping is the peace because there are usually many people around you. This would be great. You forgot to say that Matt could not resist driving in the mud on the way down just to make sure he could get out. I enjoyed the whole day. It was Lynn's kind of road trip for sure.

I almost got the Explorer stuck in some mud on the way out. It was great. I got to gun the gas and see what she could do. I would really like to go back and take some stuff for dinner. It'll be great.

What a great day. Spending time with family is what life is all about. Maybe we would have to come with you when you go camp? Glad you had fun.
