We went back to the hotel for some lunch and a little nap. Brandon and Angie and the boys didn’t want to rest, so they came and got Jeremy and Gabby and headed to California Adventure for some fun. After a short nap, Matt, Mom, Bailee and myself were up and headed back to Disneyland. I made the unfortunate mistake about telling Matt that they have deep fried pickles at the carnation cafĂ©, so that is where were headed. He wasn’t leaving California before trying a deep fried pickle.
We still had a little bit of time to kill, so we hopped on the Columbia sailing ship.
Then we made our way over to the Tommorowland Terrace for the Jedi Training Academy. As we waited to see who got picked Sunnie, Bailee, and Ammon were chosen as Padawans.
I always get a kick out of watching little kids in this show. Some are VERY serious, others are terrified, and one little boy even bowed down before Darth Vader and told him he would join the dark side – Classic. Our kiddos held true to the force though and fought their way to victory.
Afterwards, we headed over to Buzz Lightyear. Just a heads up, the scores are all backwards on these.
I seriously tried to get everyone, but there were so many of us, they were gone before I could get them all.
Then we headed next door and used our Star Tours fast pass.
Then we got some dinner at the Pizza Port, and there was still some time before the parade so we headed for a little Jungle Cruise.
Then it was time for Mickey’s Soundsational parade.
Then everyone wanted to ride Indiana Jones again, so back up Tarzan’s Treehouse we went. Mom opted to stay down with Dallin.
Then we headed to ride pirates again.
By then, our fast passes for Space were ready.
Yes, that is Connor “kissing” Jeremy – cousins man!
Most everyone was pretty tired by this time and headed back to the motel. There were some few diehards that wanted to use the fast passes for Star Tours though:
So we went on that a few times, did a little bit of shopping and headed back to hit the hay and get ready for another fun filled day at California Adventure.
Coming up . . . walking and walking and walking all over California Adventure.

Disneyland Day One part Two
Disneyland Day One part One
The next morning we were up bright and early and at the gates at Disneyland. Everyone was VERY happy, the siblings even jumped up and down:
Then the cousins joined in:
We went through the gate and got our picture taken by the floral Mickey:
The park didn’t open for 30 minutes, so everyone headed for a bathroom break (one of many), and we walked around and took some pictures:
Our first ride every time is always Pirates (much to the chagrin of the adults and teenagers), so we headed through Adventureland and we hopped on a boat.
Then we appeased the teenagers and headed to Indiana Jones, Mom and I stayed out with the twins and Dallin. We told the twins that we could climb Tarzan’s treehouse, so they took off running with Mom not too far behind. I stayed back with Dallin and we slowly climbed the tree.
There is a part as you are climbing where you see the cheetah that was Tarzan’s antagonist, so lifted Dallin up to see, and just as he got face to face with the cheetah, it growled and Dallin let out the highest pitch girl scream so loud that the couple behind me said that just made their whole vacation and they went giggling on up the tree.
He recovered pretty quickly though and then we were headed over to Star Tours.
Then next door to Space Mountain:
Then we walked around Tommorowland to the Matterhorn.
This ride is too bumpy for my back, so I stayed out with Dallin and he chased some ducks and marveled at the Monorail as it passed.
By now it was warm enough to head over to Splash Mountain:
Then we made our way back to use our fast passes for Space Mountain, on the way, we stopped at the Haunted Mansion.
By now it was around lunchtime, so we all split up to eat lunch, go on some rides, or do some shopping. We were to meet back at 4:30 for the Jedi Training Academy.
Coming up . . . Palawan's and Parades!
