Princess Dance Camp

Last week was one of the busiest weeks and because of Youth Conference that left Jenny to shuttle the kids around town.  Wednesday was the first day of Princess Dance Camp for Bailee and Zoey.  I called Bailee after and she had so much fun.  Thursday they had a tea party, and Friday was the main event – Princess Program and Parade.  Bailee woke up so excited.  She carefully chose her Cinderella dress as her princess of choice.

Best Friend’s Day

Today, June 8th, is national Best Friend Day.  I have the bestest best friend ever!  Her name is Holly:

We’ve been best friends for years now.  We have had so many grand memories together.  More than I could even name.  It went from a duo:
4-wheeling
bowling
hollys birthday
me and holly
my wedding
To a trio fairly rapidly:
three of us3
three of us

Best Friends 2008
Holly is the friendliest person I know.  She is very kind and giving.  And she is always up for a good time, whether it was parties up the canyon, heading to the Vegas, or hanging at the apartment.  She lights up the room and I am so lucky to have her as a best friend.  We’ve been there for each other through it all and I know that we will be there for eternity.  I love you Holly and I am proud to say that you are my BFF.

The Canyon

Since I have started doing couponing I’ve found some pretty sweet deals.  One of them being free hot dogs.  Now, I am not a big fan hot dogs, but the kids LOVE them.  So we headed up the canyon for some hot dog/s’more fun.  It was Jenny and Jusin’s anniversary so we had their kids while they went out on a date.  It was a beautiful day.

It was a tad chilly so we kept little Lexi in her car seat:

Then we loaded up the car and headed home.  It was a fun little outing and the kids were sugared up for the rest of the night.

They sang some songs and the showed us all around their school.  She was quite excited.

Memorial Day part 2

So we headed over to the Perrine Bridge.  They actually have a steady stream of base jumpers that come and take a dive, but since it was so windy, there was no one there.

Baby Lexie is in the purple blanket at the bottom of this next photo:

We went over to the visitor’s center and talked with the lady there and she said that you could see the landing pad where the base jumpers land on the other side of the bridge, so we braved the wind and took the trail under the bridge:

There were bronze statues all over the place:

Then we made it to the other lookout and we saw the landing pad:

There is a little red circle with an X in the middle of it.  That is where they are supposed to land.  Here’s a better picture of the bridge:

Then we ran back to our cars and headed out to the fish hatchery.  Matt was very excited about this:

He took a TON of pictures of the fish.  Here are a few:

They said that if you order Trout in any restaurant in the western United States it probably came from this facility.  It was HUGE.  Here are more fish pics as per Matt’s request:

You can’t see it very well, but that fish is GIANT.  They told me what type it was but I was tuning them out and I can’t remember.

More fish.

This was just HALF of the hatchery.  It was HUGE:

Then we headed to the lake just below.  Matt was really bummed he didn’t have his fishing pole.  We could have left him there all day.  There were pelicans all over the place.

It was around 11:30 and we were starting to get hungry so we headed back into Twin Falls to eat at Idaho Joes:

There was a wooden bear out front that the kids hopped on:

The food was cheap, but not that great.  Then we loaded up the car, filled it with gas, and headed home.  It was a new experience and absolutely beautiful.  I’m glad I could share it with my family even if we were in the car for 11 total hours!!
